Atlantic ocean sailing between the islands Madeira – Porto Santo – Cascais – Lisbon.

Sail with us from Funchal/Madeira – Porto Santo – Cascais to Lisbon

In our experience this is a very beautiful and, in the sequence of harbours, a challenging mile-building trip.

We would point out that this sailing trip is of course dependent on the weather conditions and we may change the order of harbours or possibly be unable to call at them.

We sail day and night

The highlights are Madeira – Porto Santo – Cascais – Lisbon

Our boat is a Dehler Varianta 44 and is called "WET & WILD"; we lie in the harbour of Funchal, the capital of Madeira.

Important: here we must await the right weather window in order to reach Cascais with the right wind. That can easily take 3–4 days. However, we then have time and opportunity to explore the island.

You should also get to know Madeira's unique nightlife with its many clubs and restaurants. You absolutely must try the national drink, poncha.

Our skippers know the most beautiful corners of Madeira and will show you the island as your guide.

Madeira is visited frequently by sailors as it makes a good stopover between the Azores, Canary Islands and the mainland. Calling at Madeira is always something special.

We will also call at the island of Porto Santo. The island of Porto Santo lies about 50 nautical miles north-east of Madeira. Porto Santo is another highlight of our trip.

Our next destination is then the Portuguese mainland. There we will call at Cascais.

From Porto Santo to Cascais we will sail around 650 nautical miles – that's 5 to 7 days at sea.

We will stay one day in Cascais.

From Cascais we will then sail to Lisbon, where we will berth at the Marina Alcantara.

The Marina Alcantara is not far from Lisbon's old town.

For this trip we particularly emphasise sailing experience.
