TROMSÖ -LOFOTEN- Tromsø to Bodø
Our journey begins in the "Paris of the North". That's exactly what Norwegians call the tranquil yet lively Tromsø. Over the past decades, numerous expeditions towards the Arctic and Svalbard have set off from here. The famous polar explorer Roald Amundsen also departed from here on his final voyage. So plenty of maritime atmosphere and living history await us. Through the partly open but also narrow inshore passages and fjords of northern Norway, we now continue towards the Lofoten Islands. The famous mountain range undoubtedly belongs to the most beautiful and at the same time oldest landscapes on our planet. Rugged mountains, deep fjords, pristine nature and not least a fascinating wildlife are just some of the highlights awaiting you on this voyage. Last but not least, you'll experience this adventure not on just any ship, but aboard our exclusively equipped expedition yacht POLARIS. An experience you'll treasure for a long time.
Expected trip itinerary:
We sail with POLARIS from Tromsø along the wildly rugged fjord landscapes of northern Norway heading south. On numerous stops amidst the fascinatingly beautiful landscape, you'll experience Nordic nature and way of life first-hand. Depending on wind and weather, our route then leads us either through the wonderful inshore passages or outside around the island of Senja. With the imposing Lofoten wall always in view, we finally reach Bodø, the Lofoten hub. From here, you can comfortably continue your homeward or onward journey by air. Depending on weather and schedule, it may be necessary to cover longer sections of the voyage under power. Total distance: approx. 250 nautical miles.
This exceptional trip will be led by our two professional skippers Simon Eder and Sebastian Naumann.
