NORDLICHT 1 – Bodø to Bodø

The Norwegian Lofoten Islands undoubtedly belong to the most beautiful and at the same time oldest landscapes on our planet. Rugged mountains, deep fjords, pristine nature and not least a fascinating wildlife are just some of the highlights awaiting you on this voyage. And because we'll already have very dark nights in October, the chances of observing the famous Aurora Borealis are very good. Furthermore, you'll experience this adventure not on just any ship, but aboard our exclusively equipped expedition yacht POLARIS. A very special experience you'll treasure for a long time.

Expected trip itinerary:

We sail with POLARIS from Bodø and, depending on weather, criss-cross through the countless islands, rocks and fjords of the famous mountain range. Between the islands of Austvågøya and Hinnøya, for instance, we head to Sortland (Langøya) or Stokmarknes (Hadseløya). Our destination will then once again be Bodø, the Lofoten hub. From here you can then comfortably continue your homeward or onward journey by air. Depending on weather and schedule, it may be necessary to cover longer sections of the voyage under power. Total distance: approx. 200 nautical miles.
