SAILING AREA
Either you sail west towards the Corinth Canal, or you explore the legendary island world of the Saronic Gulf. Here you'll find everything to make sailors' and holidaymakers' hearts beat faster. Sun-seekers can look forward to numerous swimming stops in small bays and romantics can lose themselves in impressive sunsets. Dreamy fishing villages invite you to linger, numerous monuments from times long past catapult you into ancient Greece, and in the evening you can round off the day comfortably in one of the many traditional tavernas.

As the islands in the Saronic Gulf almost all lie within sight of one another, short sailing legs are the order of the day. Together with the abundant harbours and anchorages and the moderate winds, the Saronic Gulf is a perfect sailing area for inexperienced sailors and families. Reasonable harbour fees and moderate prices round off the offering wonderfully.

The island of Hydra is very barren and is a nature reserve; here you'll find numerous beautiful anchorages and hidden beaches. Cars are banned, as are parties, and you'll search in vain for large hotel complexes. If you're looking for genuine peace and relaxation, this is just the place.

Poros, on the other hand, is heavily wooded. From the famous bell tower in the old town you can see its sublime beauty. Deep blue water sparkles between lush green ridges, the white sails of yachts and the colourful boats of fishermen dance as small splashes of colour in the wind. In the evening there's lively activity in the town that you'll happily let sweep you along. If you want to spend the night in calm, sheltered conditions, Russian Bay is a good choice. With its golden sandy beach and very clear water, it's considered the island's most beautiful bay. Marvel at the historic ruins and enjoy the sunset in the quaint little taverna over delicious Greek food.

Spetses looks back on over 4,000 years of history; here numerous sights and local architecture beckon. In the island's old shipyards you can still watch traditional boat builders at work.

Further worthwhile destinations are the island of Aegina, the ancient sanctuary of Epidaurus, the coastal town of Ermioni and much more. The famous Cape Sounion to the north-east, with its ancient temple of Poseidon and 'Greece's most beautiful sunset', shouldn't be missed by those who want to cover a bit more distance at the beginning or end of the trip.

The Mediterranean climate with very stable weather from May onwards offers ideal sailing conditions. Moderate winds from the south carry you gently over the sparkling sea. The Meltemi, which from July onwards provides a very sporty sailing experience in the Cyclades, for example, blows far less strongly here thanks to the protective mountains of the Peloponnese, so that beginners and families can enjoy a relaxed sailing experience.

On a sailing trip you're all in the same boat in the truest sense of the word. Mutual consideration and a willingness to compromise are important so that everyone has a thoroughly enjoyable sailing week.
True to our motto: Join the sailing – lend a hand – share the experience, your skipper will introduce you to yacht handling and actively involve you in the sailing. It doesn't matter whether you already have sailing experience or have never set foot on a yacht: everyone can join in. The children are involved too and can take the helm after a short time – that guarantees shining children's eyes. After a short while you'll be such a tight-knit team that sailing manoeuvres come easily to you. Anyone who'd rather enjoy the sun with a book in hand can of course do so too. Extended swimming stops and great activities such as the popular fender riding contribute to an unforgettable holiday.

Should the minimum number of participants not be reached, the tour operator may cancel the trip in accordance with the law (see also Terms and Conditions, point 4) up to 29 days before the start of the trip.
