Gliding along under radiant sunshine and cloudless skies on the most beautiful sailing boat in the entire Mediterranean is simply dreamlike.
Discovering new places, landscapes and people together, cooking and eating, laughing, singing, swimming, learning lots about sailing almost without noticing and much more – no wish remains unfulfilled.
Our skipper Alfredo has become a close friend over the years, and every year we look forward to seeing him again for weeks beforehand.
Calm and relaxed hours whilst sailing alternate with action during diving or snorkelling, so there's something for everyone.
Over the years I've been able to learn a great deal from Alfredo about both the area and about sailing and boats.
Alfredo takes excellent care of his guests and knows the best anchorages, restaurants and bars for the obligatory apéritif both on and around Elba as well as Corsica.
We've also discovered the unknown together, for example on Giannutri or Ventotene.
I can no longer imagine the year without time on the Lady.
Hearing rolling waves or gentle gurgling when you're rocked to sleep by the boat is the ultimate guarantee for relaxation.
So another time is definitely certain!

Many heartfelt thanks for the unforgettable sailing trip on the Lady around the island of Elba with a detour to Corsica/Bastia. Our skipper Alfredo was always flexible, helpful and up for any mischief. Alfredo is also a good cook and diving instructor. After Alfredo called me back following my written enquiry, I knew it would be a good fit: both personally and in terms of sailing. Marion and Alfredo are delightful hosts who also happen to master the art of sailing. The lovingly restored 'Lady' (a 50-foot ketch over 40 years old) offers space and comfort both on deck and below. Alfredo knows the sailing area: we either headed for one of the beautiful harbours on Elba or anchored in a quiet bay. And Marion and Alfredo also know the island with its lovely bars and restaurants, or the places with live music or evening markets. And they are known and appreciated everywhere: you are warmly greeted wherever you go. And so we had a wonderful time together both on board and ashore, which will remain in our memories for a long time: and the desire to return is great!

The sailing trip with Alfredo was a fantastically beautiful adventure with a feel-good character. When we arrived at his 'Lady', he greeted us with a chilled glass of white wine. The next morning we set sail in glorious sailing weather. Alfredo knows not only the best restaurants and cafés ashore, he also knows the most beautiful bays and hidden spots that can only be reached by boat. He makes sailing a pleasure, whether for beginners who want to relax or more experienced sailors who want to lend a hand. His warm and cordial manner creates an atmosphere on board as if you had found a new home at sea. And if there's a day without wind, he spontaneously hires a Vespa or books a diving course, entirely according to the adventurous mood. Most beautiful of all, however, is jumping into the clear waters of the Mediterranean after a wonderful lunch on deck (beautifully prepared by him with fresh and finest vegetables and fish and of course the delicious white wine from Elba) and feeling free, alive and in the right place at the right time. Thank you Alfredo and his timelessly beautiful 'Lady' for a week that will remain in our fondest memories.

Elba is wonderful, the island, the sea, the people, the places. Absolutely worth the journey.

A circumnavigation of Elba in six days. This week thrilled us all. Alfredo is a very experienced skipper. He knows the island like the back of his hand. Beautiful bays, great restaurants and unforgettable time at sea. You can completely relax or join in with the sailing. The boat is very beautiful and spacious. We look forward to the next trip and can warmly recommend the Lady Dilys!
