Hand for a bunk
Hand for a bunk – a special way of sailing
Hand for a bunk is a type of trip where crew can sail free of charge or only by contributing to travel costs and/or provisioning costs. No payment is made for the berth itself. In return, the crew member offers their help on board. This can involve a wide variety of tasks. The classic arrangement is assisting with sailing the boat, for example when there isn't enough crew on board or as part of rotating watches on longer passages. Support with repairs or maintenance of the boat is also possible, or duties in the galley. Hand for a bunk – an exciting way of sailing.
