Cardiff – Scilly Isles – Land's End – Plymouth
Join us on an eventful sailing trip along the Welsh and south English coasts – from Cardiff through the Bristol Channel out into the Atlantic, on to the stunning Scilly Islands and finally to Plymouth. A route full of contrasts between demanding tidal waters and almost Caribbean-like island worlds.
We set off from Cardiff and leave the sheltered waters of the harbour into the Bristol Channel – one of the areas with the greatest tidal range in the world. Currents, tidal windows and precise navigation make this section particularly exciting and demand real teamwork on board.
Once we have rounded Land's End, the way opens into the Atlantic – and to one of Britain's most beautiful sailing destinations: the Scilly Islands. White sandy beaches, turquoise water and sheltered anchorages offer an impressive contrast to the rougher sea before. Here there is time to explore, relax and enjoy.
On the final leg we sail along the south English coast towards Plymouth. Gentle hills, picturesque bays and lively harbour towns accompany us before we reach our destination harbour and bring the trip to a close together.
What awaits you:
- Demanding tidal waters in the Bristol Channel
- Active participation as a crew member
- Stunning island world of the Scilly Islands
- Mix of sporty sailing and relaxed passages
- Destination Plymouth with its rich maritime history
Who is the trip suitable for?
For crew with a sense of adventure and an interest in active sailing. Some experience is an advantage, but not essential. What matters is team spirit, sea legs and the enjoyment of getting to know different sailing areas.
