The trip was a wonderful experience for my wife and me as near beginners. This applies to the beautiful, exceptional vessel (schooner), the sometimes challenging sailing days (wind and swell) between Cascais/Lisbon and Gibraltar, as well as the stops in the selected lovely harbour towns. The skipper is very experienced, communicative with the crew and attentive to safety. We wish Reinhard all the best with and on his brigantine.
In a very special boat we went on an island tour around Brač. Very relaxed.
The weather was almost perfect. Could have had a bit more wind though 😉
Definitely worth trying. Learnt a lot again.
The sailing trip with Skipper Reinhard Laufer was something special. The schooner regularly catches the eye of other sailors and on board too you can feel that it's a one-off. Nevertheless, the boat is technically (electronically) state-of-the-art and the owner/skipper always had everything under control and took us to very beautiful places, bays etc.
He knows Croatia like the back of his hand and the culinary tips were always spot on!
It was a really lovely trip
Just like last year, this trip was also a fantastic sailing holiday. It's always wonderful to sail with Reinhard, he knows the sailing area like the back of his hand, heads for beautiful places and bays or finds optimal berths and great restaurants for all lovers of good cuisine. His sailing skills are impressive, whilst at the same time he's willing to explain and share a great deal. It's enriching every time to be on board with him.
We had the pleasure of getting to know Reinhard with the superb Hanse 6 years ago already. Pure sailing fun … individual trip planning according to the weather charts … no tedious motoring … superb knowledge of the area with the best bays, harbours and konobas. A guaranteed week that's one of the best of the year where sailing … swimming and of course culinary pleasure take centre stage. Even as a sailor you can still learn a lot from the skipper, who naturally is also happy to share his knowledge with those who prefer bathing. Many thanks Reinhard for the great week and I hope we'll see each other again soon.
Greetings from Marco and Manu
We thoroughly enjoyed the week on this large and superbly equipped Hanse!
Skipper Reinhard, with 120,000 nautical miles of experience and several Atlantic crossings, speaks German, English and Croatian and has known the Adriatic for decades. We felt in excellent hands and were constantly provided with good tips about sailing and the sailing area.
Many thanks!
We were delighted with this very enjoyable trip in Croatia, where we got to know Brač, Vis and Šolta, among other places. Apart from arrival and departure days, we anchored in wonderful bays or moored in small harbours; our skipper Reinhard chose brilliant locations and great konobas. For us as sailing beginners, it was a pleasant balance between sailing and swimming, and we were able and allowed to learn a great deal because there was ample time for explanations and we were then allowed to have a go ourselves. We would love to sail along again.
I took part in the skipper training on Möwe2 at Easter and it was brilliant!
The Hanse 545 is in good condition and received new sails just before our training. Reinhard, our skipper, is very happy to pass on his knowledge to the crew and you can learn a great deal from him.
Gladly again!
