sailing trips
Just do it and give it your all!
In search of special moments and encounters, we discover, with curiosity and wonder, the small and great marvels of nature and the places we would never otherwise have come to know.
Together we reach the goal we've set ourselves, carried by wind, waves and what we share with one another: curiosity, calm and a natural urge for adventure.
When sailing, the journey is the destination. Sailing isn't an event, it's a way of life. Free to go wherever the wind takes us, connected to nature and to each other, responsible for our own little world. Slowing down, living in the moment.
No sailing experience is necessary. But coming sailing with us means being part of the crew, because for a short time on board we're a small community in a very confined space. For everyone to feel comfortable, all it takes is a bit of empathy, respect and an easy-going attitude – everything else falls into place along the way.
Every day is new, because the sea and the wind are always different.
Sometimes we sail long distances when the wind is good. Sometimes we anchor in quiet bays, go for a swim and cook together on board. Sometimes we call in at one of the many picturesque spots, perhaps go on an excursion or a walk, or simply enjoy a sundowner as the sun sets before heading off somewhere for a delicious meal.
Above all, we simply enjoy the moment, again and again.
What has no place on board:
Racism, sexism, conspiracy theories and right-wing ideologies.
Anyone who feels this applies to them should please book elsewhere – there are plenty of other providers.
I really look forward to welcoming everyone else.
Let's go sailing and collect moments together that will last!
Thomas Brandes
Skipper
Thomas Brandes has been afflicted by the sailing bug since childhood. His first attempts at sailing took place on the island of Föhr and continue to this day. After all, you never stop learning when it comes to sailing – not even after 100,000 nautical miles.
Fascinated by the forces of nature, the sense of freedom and the lure of adventure, he first learned to sail on dinghies before obtaining his BR-Schein for yachts at the DHH in Glücksburg at the age of 16. At 17 he proudly became the youngest DLRG_Rettungsbootkapitän on Lake Constance. After leaving school he set off on his first great blue-water voyage across the Caribbean and the Pacific. This was followed by community service with an association for socio-educational sailing. During his studies, further blue-water voyages followed, along with his first jobs as a skipper and sailing instructor in Holland and Mallorca.
These student jobs gradually turned into a full-fledged profession. For many seasons he worked as a skipper and sailing instructor in the Mediterranean, the North Sea, and also the Atlantic, the Caribbean, French Polynesia, Thailand and the Seychelles. Since 2008 he has lived on Corfu, where he works as a skipper and manager for Daydream-Yachting and devotedly looks after his boat, SY ANNA.
His highest nautical qualification is the DSV SSS as well as the RYA-Yachtmaster.
He regularly attends seminars and further training courses, for example on medicine at sea or on weather.
As a professional skipper he now has around 100,000 nautical miles worldwide in his wake and brings ample experience to ensure the safety of both boat and crew in a relaxed and confident manner. He also possesses and practises excellent seamanship, which he is happy to pass on to interested crew members.
