Segelreise Z00-24: Überführungstörn Nordsee, England

Mitsegeln mit Skipper und Crew:
Mitsegeln ist die ideale Art und Weise, um schöne Segeltörns zu erleben für alle die gerne auf dem Wasser sind und ist geeignet für Paare, Einzelreisende, eine Gruppe Freunde oder Familie. Als Einzel Bücher reisen Sie allein, sind aber mit einer Gruppe Gleichgesinnter im Urlaub. Der Vorteil davon, eine Segeljacht mit Crew zu mieten, ist deutlich:

– Die Crew regelt alles was das Segeln betrifft während der Reise.
– Die Einkäufe für die Segelreise werden durch den Bootsmann/Frau erledigt bevor Sie an Bord kommen.
– Die Crew ist erfahren und das Segelschiff ist einwandfrei in Ordnung und sauber.
– Der Bootsmann/Frau kocht auch (Vegetarisch führ die Liebhaber), aber hier erwarten wir natürlich Ihre Hilfe.

Die Segelreise:
On the first day we will sail from the city centre of Rotterdam over the river to Maassluis. A relaxed start to the trip, with a cup of coffee through 4 bridges including the iconic Erasmus Bridge. Quite special and enjoyable to see Rotterdam from the water with all the busy shipping traffic. The ‚Nieuwe Waterweg‘ is divided into VHF block channels to guide shipping. Depending on the current, it’s about three hours of sailing until Maassluis, a great opportunity to go get familiar with everything on deck, get to know each other and for a lunch. At the end of the afternoon, we will make a sailing plan, depending on the weather forecast, and prepare for the crossing the next day.

We will then cross the English Channel to Ramsgate or Lowestoft, a distance of 120 miles with shipping lanes, wind farms and lots of shipping traffic. An educational passage where we will sail through the night and we will have to use radar and AIS to avoid collisions, but we will also practice with ship lights recognition. Ramsgate (or Lowestoft) are both beautiful and atmospheric old harbours and if the wind cooperates, we can spend the afternoon here, enjoying the pleasant English atmosphere and of course a pint in the pub in the evening.

We sail with a 3-watch system, 3 hours on and 6 hours off. In this way, you ‚ll still get enough rest and you ‚ll be sharp when your watch starts. Especially when it is colder (at night), this system makes it more comfortable to be on watch.

The following day we sail back again, depending on the wind and tide we sail into Rotterdam at dark, very scenic and an unforgettable experience.
