Opportunities to sail aboard a classic sailing yacht are limited. With the Quadra, we want to offer this option to solo travellers and small groups of family or friends. The Quadra provides cosy, comfortable and safe accommodation with all the amenities you need to feel at home.
*** Enjoy a sailing trip aboard the Quadra ***
Every one of our sailing trips is designed for discovery, relaxation, fun and unforgettable moments. Sailing isn't about following a fixed route, but about experiencing the unexpected. Every trip is shaped by the tides, wind and weather, and above all by the curiosity of our guests.
Everyone is welcome to take part in the sailing activities under the guidance of our qualified crew, even without any sailing experience! Alongside sailing, there's plenty of time for relaxing, swimming and exploring ashore. Our cook will spoil you on board with delicious meals (full board).
*** Ship and Owner ***
You book your sailing trip directly with the ship's owner/captain André Hanzens and his wife Evelien. Both have more than 30 years' experience in offering sailing trips; André as captain and Evelien in the office.
After 14 seasons with our two-masted schooner TWISTER (1999-2012) and 10 seasons with our topsail schooner AVATAR (2014-2023), we began building the classic sailing yacht QUADRA in autumn 2021.
The design is based on the John Alden schooner Lelanta II / Lelantina. The hull was built more than 30 years ago but never completed, and we bought it in 2020.
After completion of the construction work at the end of 2025, the QUADRA will offer sailing trips for up to 6 guests plus a permanent crew. Her sailing area will be worldwide. Start dreaming already…
