Plymouth – Channel Islands – Cherbourg

Join us on an exciting sailing trip through one of the most varied sailing areas in Western Europe: from Plymouth along the English south coast to the Channel Islands and on to Cherbourg in France. A route that combines challenging tidal sailing with charming island worlds and international flair.
We start in Plymouth, a traditional harbour town with a great seafaring history. Shortly after setting sail, the English Channel awaits us with its tidal streams, busy shipping traffic and changing conditions – a sailing area that demands attention and good seamanship.
Depending on weather and tides, our legs take us along the Cornish coast and further south to the Channel Islands. Here we can expect places like Guernsey or Jersey with their special mix of British and French culture, sheltered harbours and varied anchorages.
The Channel Islands offer a fascinating combination of strong tidal range, impressive rocky landscapes and lively harbour towns – ideal for active crew members who want to experience navigation and manoeuvres in tidal waters.
On the final leg we cross the English Channel again towards France. Our destination is Cherbourg, an important Atlantic port with a maritime atmosphere, spacious harbour facilities and the perfect conclusion to this varied sailing trip.
