Mile building Amsterdam – Cuxhaven

Join us for a week-long sailing trip along the Dutch and German North Sea coast – from the vibrant waterside city of Amsterdam to the traditional harbour of Cuxhaven. A route that combines coastal sailing, tidal waters and genuine North Sea atmosphere.
We start in Amsterdam and leave the sheltered canals and locks heading for the open North Sea. Shortly after departure, wind, tidal range and a busy coastal sailing area shape our course. These legs require sound planning, attentiveness and teamwork on board.
Depending on weather and tide windows, we sail along the Dutch coast, pass the IJmuiden area and continue our course northwards towards the German Bight. Along the way we experience an exciting mixture of navigation marks, sandbanks, traffic separation schemes and changing conditions.
The North Sea shows its variety here: sometimes calm and expansive, sometimes challenging with wind and short seas. On board you are actively involved – sailing, navigating and in the watch system. Everyone takes responsibility and becomes part of the crew.
Our destination is Cuxhaven, where Elbe and North Sea meet. A classic harbour with maritime atmosphere, Wadden Sea flair and the perfect finish for this varied sailing trip.
