From Portocolom round Mallorca

Mallorca is one of the most varied sailing areas in the Mediterranean. On an island circumnavigation we experience the full diversity of the Balearics: hidden anchorages with turquoise water, spectacular cliffs, lively harbour towns and the impressive Tramuntana mountains. Depending on wind and weather, we sail around the island clockwise or anticlockwise and adapt the route flexibly to the conditions.

The trip begins in the picturesque natural harbour of Portocolom. From there we sail along the varied east coast with its numerous calas, before our route takes us via the south with its long sandy beaches and – if wind and permits allow – to the protected island of Cabrera. In the west the imposing cliffs of the Serra de Tramuntana await us, along with secluded anchorages and stunning sunsets. Via the famous Cap Formentor and the extensive bays in the north, we return along the east coast to Portocolom.

With around 170 to 200 nautical miles, this trip offers the perfect blend of active sailing and relaxed stops. Depending on the weather, longer passages on the open sea can be part of the experience, as well as short legs between idyllic bays. Along the way there's time for swimming, snorkelling, cooking together on board and shore excursions in charming harbour towns.

This trip is aimed at crew members who want to experience Mallorca from its maritime side. Sailing experience is welcome but not essential – everyone can get actively involved on board according to their interest and ability. Together we enjoy intensive days of sailing, Mediterranean evenings and the special feeling of circumnavigating one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean under our own power.

You sail with a maximum of 3 other participants on a Beneteau Oceanis 43 built 2007 (owner's yacht) with German safety certificate for worldwide cruising, comfortably equipped with watermaker, solar panels, electric winches, Starlink and much more. The owner and skipper has over 50,000 nautical miles of experience, 99% on cabin charters and sail training trips.

If you book a cabin for two or for yourself alone, there is a 75% surcharge on the stated price.
