Would you like to experience Usedom from a completely different perspective? Then come aboard and discover the island and its coast from the water. The particular appeal of this trip lies in its variety: wide Baltic vistas, quiet lagoon landscapes, historic harbour towns, small harbours and the special atmosphere of a river journey on the Oder to Szczecin.

The sailing area around the island of Usedom offers plenty of variety: to the south of the island lies a slightly enchanted area with its reed belts, lagoon passages and various impressive bridge passages and small charming towns such as Ückermünde or Wolgast. The historic town centres and proximity to the water give both towns a pleasantly maritime character. Here you can stroll through the old town, half-timbered houses, small shops and cafés create a relaxed atmosphere, walk along the waterfront promenade and let the evening draw to a close amongst fishing boats and yachts.
The journey across the lagoon is particularly beautiful: the water appears wide and almost sea-like, whilst the shores remain close enough to observe the landscape.
A special part of the trip is the journey on the Oder towards Szczecin. After experiencing the open and expansive waters of Usedom, the surroundings change noticeably. The Oder becomes narrower, the banks move closer together and the landscape takes on an increasingly riverine character. As the boat travels upstream, the landscape glides slowly past: waterside meadows, reeds, harbour facilities and passing ships time and again. Here, sailing is different from the Baltic Sea. Current, fairway and commercial shipping determine the navigation more strongly. The alternation between sailing and motoring is a natural part of this section.
The closer you get to Szczecin, the more urban the surroundings become. The quiet river landscape transforms into an impressive harbour and industrial landscape. Cranes, shipyards, ships and the large expanses of water around the city announce your destination.
After a day on the Oder, Szczecin offers an exciting contrast: here a vibrant city with restaurants, cafés and cultural attractions awaits you. The harbour remains ever-present – ships and waterways are a natural part of the cityscape.
The next day we travel down the Oder, through the Szczecin Lagoon and the Kaiser Canal to Świnoujście. The approach towards Świnoujście is a special section of the trip. Large ships, ferries and smaller leisure craft share the waterways. The town combines the flair of a classic Baltic seaside resort with a lively harbour atmosphere. Wide beaches, promenades and numerous cafés meet ferry traffic, cargo ships and maritime infrastructure.
On the final day we then sail the long leg along the outer coast of Usedom back to Rügen.

No sailing experience required. Of course, anyone who wishes can lend a hand with the sail manoeuvres or take the helm. Navigation, seamanship, weather lore — we are happy to share our knowledge. There is always something to experience and discover — for newcomers just as much as for "habitual sailors".
As with all our trips, the loan of offshore sailing clothing is included as a matter of course!

Provisions, drinks, bed linen, towels, loan of sailing suits, harbour fees and diesel... are included – you have no further costs on board.
We use one evening for a restaurant visit (not included in the price).
