Hello Törnfinder users
In summer I am always travelling with my houseboat VLINDER (25x4m - martin-hausboot.de)
on canals and rivers, mostly in France.
Anyone is welcome to come aboard for a stretch.

In the cold winter months I organise sailing trips on catamarans in tropical waters.
And often in autumn I'm still out and about in GR with a chartered catamaran.

So if you would like to join us on the houseboat and/or a catamaran sailing trip, simply have a look at my offers.

Well then, hope to see you aboard soon - wherever that may be Skipper Martin

South Sea Dream

I don't need to emphasise that French Polynesia is one of the most dreamlike seascapes and island worlds.
But with Martin as skipper and his partner Sylvia, the whole thing was crowned with perfection.
Martin is a pleasantly calm and highly competent skipper; his sailing skills were evident through his composure and calmness – there was never a feeling of unease. He involved us in the sailing, had patience and nerves of steel with a sailing greenhorn like me, and always had an open ear for questions. His knowledge went far beyond sailing. He could tell us so much about the area we were travelling through and always led us to the hotspots. Conversely, in poorer weather when we had to anchor, he was always there with positive mood and spirits when playing cards or passing the time otherwise. I travelled with him for the first time and it won't be the last, and I look forward to the next trip with him.
Together with his partner Sylvia, this team was complete: Sylvia contributed so much to excellent mood and atmosphere, her cakes were poetry, the chats were always stimulating and funny – this trip was so wonderful and deeply memorable because of this alone. And on top of that, the fantastic South Pacific.
Highly recommended, top marks. 😉
