Behind Rederij van Linschoten are Herman and Julia, both bringing years of experience sailing traditional vessels. Herman as former owner and captain and Julia as crew member and trip organiser know the ships inside out and can advise you individually. With their expertise you can look forward to an unforgettable voyage where you'll not only discover the most beautiful corners of the world but also learn a great deal about sailing.
Active participation is expressly welcome on our trips: help set the sails, take the helm yourself or simply enjoy the sea air. You're welcome even without sailing experience! Our experienced crews will guide you safely and teach you the basics of sailing. From climbing into the bowsprit netting to steering the ship – you'll become part of the crew and experience the fascination of sailing first-hand.

I ended up on a trip with families from Germany and the Netherlands and a few other solo travellers. But the atmosphere on board was great and so I had a lovely time. There was a bit of everything weather-wise and the wind blew my head clear and the waves washed a lot off my soul.

The Blue Clipper is a 3-mast schooner. Information about the ship is easily found on the internet.
The remarkably young crew, 11 members strong, sail the ship with great competence and enthusiasm.
They were attentive and welcoming to us sailing guests – there were 8 of us, then 14 from the Azores onwards. We were expertly briefed and included in the seamanship tasks. The atmosphere on board was relaxed and friendly.
The food was varied, plentiful and good. The bunks were comfortable, with generously appointed sanitary facilities.
Personally, I experienced the voyage as intense relaxation. It was certainly physically demanding at times, but it provided a welcome break from everyday life in the best possible way.

it was my first sailing experience and provider, and I'm enthusiastic about both. It was a wonderful combination of activities on board and relaxation. The crew and the sailing guests were all lovely. It was absolutely fascinating to move along so quietly on a traditional sailing ship using only wind power, whilst watching and listening to the sea. Beautiful, old, very well-maintained ship on which we spent a sunny day at the Windjammer Parade during Kiel Week. Only the wind was a bit light. Exceptionally relaxed and friendly crew who handled our small children with great confidence. Plenty of drinks, magnificent selection of cakes, good coffee. There's still some room for improvement regarding the stew served at lunchtime. But that hardly mattered really.
The ship and crew are absolutely to be recommended. Unforgettable trip.

For five days we sailed on the IJsselmeer: our trip on a historic sailing ship took us from Enkhuizen via Urk, Lemmer, Stavoren and Medemblik through picturesque harbour towns steeped in history. Wind, waves and working together as a team gave us a real seafaring feeling. Strolling through town, fresh fish, sunshine and good company rounded off the trip – an unforgettable, perfectly organised sailing holiday full of maritime experiences.
