Every day of the trip with Stefan and Maria and of course the rest of the great crew in the Ionian Sea brought new highlights and lots of fun! Fascinating how quickly and harmoniously the group came together – everyone could contribute as they could and wanted, whether sailing beginner or cooking expert. The trip was a perfect mix of active sports holiday and pure relaxation! This certainly wasn't my last trip with Maria and Stefan

We had an absolutely fantastic 10-day catamaran sailing trip in the Ionian Sea! Our journey started in Preveza and took us to the beautiful islands of Lefkada, Kefalonia and others. Particularly impressive was the visit to the ruins in Assos and the romantic evening in the harbour of Vasiliki. A highlight was definitely also the adventurous Pig Bay at Atokos.

Our skipper Stefan and the First Lady Maria were simply wonderful – always attentive, friendly and always up for a laugh. We laughed a lot together and had loads of fun! Technical problems were also solved very quickly and professionally, which made our holiday even more relaxed.

This holiday was unique and incredibly relaxing. We're already very much looking forward to our next sailing trip holiday. Many thanks, dear Maria and dear Stefan, for this unforgettable time!

The Whitsun trip 2024 in the Ionian Sea was a wonderful experience.
Spending a week 'living' at sea was new to me and I can say it really grabbed me.
Sailing the boat, the stunning natural beauty of the Ionian Sea and its islands, as well as the wonderful sense of community with the crew left deep impressions.
Stefan, our skipper, is one of the most relaxed people I have ever met. Together with Maria, the two of them make a brilliant team 😉
The best conditions, then, for spending a relaxed sailing holiday with them! 😉
If you want to, Stefan quickly gives you responsibility on board. For me as a beginner it was therefore very exciting to take the helm sometimes and sail the boat 'in the wind'. Swimming stops, SUP paddling or water-skiing fun, jumps from the deck into the sea, climbing the mast (only if you fancy it)… It was very varied! For anchoring we headed for small, dreamy bays, or enjoyed the infrastructure and charm of a little Ionian harbour town. Each day offered new highlights and you sank into your bunk full of them and fell asleep. The mix of maritime romance, sporting sailing, charming Greece and a wonderful sense of community and friendship made this holiday unforgettable. Thank you Stefan & Maria! Dear Stefan, dear Maria. Many thanks for my great 2nd adventure with you, this time in the Caribbean – Cuba. What can I say, I'm thrilled every time I'm allowed to travel with you and even now as I write I'm getting itchy feet again. What I find so wonderful is that from the very first moment you feel your passion for sailing and the sailing community. That starts with the composition of the crew, the organisation, the family atmosphere and the bond from which even friendships can grow. Whether you already have experience or are still a sailing novice like me, with you there are so many lovely opportunities to help shape the trip. And at the same time simply to chill out completely and shake off everyday life. I think that's wonderful. 'Sailing among friends' – that's what it really is! See you on the next trip at the latest.

The holiday with Stefan and Maria will always stay in my memory. In my view the trip was perfectly organised, be it the journey there, the shopping, dealing with the authorities at the various registrations, the bread baking (!). Everyone could contribute to the cooking – it always tasted good. Almost every day we had freshly caught fish or lobster traded for rum on the table.
In good wind conditions the sails were set; here too, help was welcome. As a beginner I just watched the procedures first and had them explained to me – next time perhaps I'll be able to lend a hand too.
The most beautiful things for me, though, were the activities in and on the water: swimming, snorkelling at the reef, exploring an uninhabited island and visiting the turtle breeding station on Cayo Largo. We then released one of the youngsters, 'Ricardo', into the wild at the reef.
The 10 days on the catamaran flew by – also because the group got on well together – and there was no boredom.
The days afterwards in Havana were also very impressive. We were accommodated in a casa particular right in the old centre. From outside I would never have thought that behind the somewhat grubby façades such a cosy guesthouse was waiting. And everyone was so nice to the guests.
A highlight was the e-bike tour through Havana. That too was brilliantly organised again by Stefan and Martin.
At the end there was still time for our own extended meanderings through the city.
Overall this holiday gave me a lot of pleasure, but also showed how well off we are in Europe/Germany. We just need to learn again to see and appreciate all the positive things....

What do sailing and cuisine have in common? – Exactly, a sailing trip with Stefan and Maria from Meeressegeln.de.

Three times now I've had the pleasure of setting sail with the two of them – in Croatia, Greece and Thailand. And I'm already looking forward to the next trip 😊

I can't really name a single highlight. It's the whole package that makes it so appealing. The silence at sea when the boat glides along under sail. Jumping into the water first thing in the morning in a secluded bay, even before the first coffee. Helping to set the sails, weigh anchor or lend a hand in the galley. Being inspired by the selection of fresh produce at the markets for our evening meal together. Stefan, an experienced sailor who is also a master with the cooking spoon (I'll just say one word: octopus 😉). Maria, who with her incredibly relaxed manner, organises and does and gets things done. Life together on board. The list could go on and on. And with every word I write, my longing for the sea grows greater and greater.

An exciting adventure, unspoilt beaches and an eventful e-bike tour were promised to us. So I took on the adventure of going on holiday with complete strangers. I didn't regret it! Thanks to Maria and Stefan's top-class organisation, the most important food and drinks were already on board when we stepped onto the boat. As promised, we found fishermen with whom we exchanged excellent lobster tails for a little rum and beer. These, together with the fish we caught ourselves, were the absolute highlight of the first week. I will never forget the barracuda prepared by Stefan – unbelievably delicious 😋!
The beaches were also just like in every brochure – deserted, not a soul around, crystal-clear water and kilometres long, perfect for walking! The turtle station was very educational and it was wonderful to be able to release a turtle into the wild afterwards. A jet ski tour to a dreamlike little island was the crowning glory for me and will definitely remain a special memory.
And then Havana: the e-bike introduction (about 45 km, 3 stops with several piña coladas and mojitos) was excellently prepared! Everyone had the opportunity to get a picture of Havana and use the following days to explore on their own. Afterwards there was a fantastic dinner, which we could hardly enjoy properly only because we had already eaten so well at lunchtime. We would never have discovered the wonderful casa on the rooftops of Cuba without Maria and Stefan either. What a fun evening! Our accommodation in Havana was also so lovely that we were happy to extend our stay there. Once again, the two of them delivered what they had promised. As a destination, I found Havana very exciting on the one hand, also because of all the wonderful vintage cars, but on the other hand it moved me deeply to see what an embargo can trigger in a country.
As a conclusion, I can only advise anyone who is thinking about putting their trust in Stefan and Maria: Do it! You'll have a wonderful holiday with two guides who pack everything possible into your trip. Of course, you also have to explore a bit on your own. 😉
The only fly in the ointment of the trip: the underwater world. The hurricanes and rising temperatures have severely damaged the corals, so that unfortunately one can no longer speak of an intact underwater world. That really shook me.

Heartfelt thanks to skipper Stefan and the entire crew for these wonderful days on the sailing boat in Turkey. Sun, wind and even a storm at night – we got to experience it all!!! Simply mega. We harmonised brilliantly as a team and as people, and that as 'strangers' in the smallest of spaces!! From Bodrum to Fethiye there were wonderful moments again and again, delicious food and plenty of fun

And I've done it again 😜 this was now my second time sailing with Stefan and Maria. This time it was 10 days through the Turkish Aegean from Bodrum to Fethiye, 290 nm. The crew was brilliant and the sailing area was dreamlike. Coffee in the morning at sunset and raki in the evening 🤣⛵️ I love this form of holiday and would travel the whole world with these two. The Croatia trip was really fantastic and I have very fond memories of it... but let me start from the beginning.

I decided to sign up for the above trip with Stefan. Flew out to Split and to the marina. It was a great feeling right from the start and his experience on the world's oceans is enviable. As I hold a powerboat licence myself, I still learnt a lot from him and we participants had great fun. It was a brilliant group, which also led to friendships.
What must also be highlighted is that the skipper can cook really well too and we were excellently provided for in culinary terms.

I would sail the world's oceans with him any time.

Came across Stefan's site by chance, as I was looking for a different kind of holiday. And what can I say, my trips with Stefan were simply top. Through him I've come to love sailing. Stefan loves sailing and lets you share in his enthusiasm. If there's a lull, Stefan always has an idea ready and so it never gets boring. Through the crew selection, you keep meeting really wonderful people. Every trip is something special, but Thailand was the icing on the cake. I won't forget those days, it was simply amazing!
