ONEWAY NAXOS – LEROS From the Aegean to the Dodecanese

14-day sailing trip: Naxos – Leros via Koufonisi, Amorgos, Astypalea, Kefalos (Kos), Platy, Kalymnos, Leros, Lipsi and to the final destination Leros

Day 1: Naxos – Embarkation
Arrival at Naxos Chora harbour.
Take over the boat, safety briefing, inventory check.
Provisions for the first legs, check the weather forecast.
Dinner on board or in the old town.

Day 2: Naxos → Koufonisi
Distance: approx. 25–30 nm
First day's sail to Koufonisi to settle in and get to know crew and boat
Anchor in quiet bays such as Pori or Finikas.
Swimming, snorkelling, relaxed evening.

Day 3: Koufonisi → Amorgos (Katapola or Aegiali)
Distance: approx. 30–35 nm
Katapola: small harbour with tavernas and shops.
Alternative: Aegiali for quieter bays and beaches.

Day 4: Amorgos – Discovery day
Hike to Chora for magnificent panoramic views.
Dinner in Katapola or Aegiali.

Day 5: Amorgos → Astypalea
Astypalea harbour: quiet, sheltered harbour or anchor in Maltezana Bay.
Traditional old town high above the harbour with white houses.

Day 6: Astypalea – Relax & swimming
Day for exploring the island or bathing in quiet bays.
Alternatively a short sail around Astypalea.

Day 7: Astypalea → Kefalos (Kos)
Distance: approx. 55–60 nm
Longest leg of the trip and therefore early departure. Alternatively night sailing if desired.
Kefalos harbour on Kos: quiet, small harbour or anchorage.

Day 8: Kefalos → Platy
Distance: approx. 20 nm
Passage to Platy, a magnificent evening at a small chapel
Absolutely secluded and wonderful for swimming and snorkelling

Day 9: Platy → Kalymnos
Distance: approx. 18 nm
Passage to Kalymnos, known for its sponge diving tradition.
Pothia harbour: good facilities, tavernas, shopping.
Alternatively Vathy or small bay just before.

Day 10: Kalymnos → Leros (Lakki)
Distance: approx. 25–30 nm
Crossing to Leros, Lakki harbour.
Sheltered harbour, restaurants, shopping.

Day 11: Leros → Leros Agia Marina
Distance: approx. 15–20 nm
Passage around the island to Agia Marina
Tavernas right by the small harbour

Day 12: Leros → Lipsi
Distance: approx. 20–25 nm
Crossing to Lipsi
with the very amusing harbourmaster and his way of laying power to all the boats

Day 13: Lipsi → Leros
Distance: approx. 20–25 nm
Crossing to our final destination Leros (Lakki)
Last evening in a typical Greek taverna. End of trip
