RYA Yachtmaster Preparation+Exam, max 4 people: Individual & Exclusive from Cuxhaven

The RYA Yachtmaster Offshore is the most demanding certificate of the Royal Yachting Association and a prerequisite for every aspiring professional skipper.

Even in the most adverse conditions, an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore is always in control of the situation and capable of bringing their crew safely to their destination even over a long period.

The qualification allows passages of over 150 nautical miles from land and together with an RYA Sea Survival one can obtain a Commercial Endorsement – that is, permission to use this certificate commercially.

RYA Sea Survival Training (STCW): 210€

One-day course directly following the first week. Requirement for commercial use. Probably the most sensible training for every professional skipper.
RYA First Aid Certificate for RYA: 190€

The day after RYA Sea Survival this first aid course can be taken. It is a requirement for all Yachtmaster examinations.
Medical fitness certificate fee (ENG1): 100€
RYA examination fee: 250€ to be paid on site to the RYA examiner

Contents
Tidal training:
Opportunity for 2 x night passages, as well as 2 x routes (min. 60 nm) as skipper or watchleader. Both important requirements for the examination.
RYA Yachtmaster Prep & Exam:
5 days intensive preparation for the RYA Yachtmaster examination taking place directly afterwards.
The examination begins on Friday and usually lasts until Sunday midday. Course language is English.

Requirements for RYA Yachtmaster

Verifiable from the logbook within 10 years prior to the time of examination:
50 days on the vessel.
5 days as skipper.
2500 nautical miles (of which 1250 nautical miles in tidal waters).
5 passages of more than 60 nautical miles, of which 2 as skipper.
3 night passages.

RYA PPR (online exam)

All requirements must be met at the time of the examination. Please contact us in good time if you are still missing miles or other qualifications. In exceptional cases, qualifications can be submitted retrospectively.

Not included in the price:
Meals: Financed via the shared kitty; skipper/instructor is traditionally provided for by the crew.
Oilskins & modern lifejacket with lifebelt: Can be hired for €10 per day each
