We sail from Mallorca to Ibiza – 4 cabins, 4 bathrooms

We sail with a maximum of 6 guests. Each of the 4 cabins has its own bathroom.

We sail from Mallorca to Ibiza. Saturday is arrival day. Our yacht is moored as usual in Marina Alcudiamar in Port d'Alcudia. After everyone has taken their bunk we stock up for the week with goodies from the nearby supermarket. As soon as that's done we go to our favourite restaurant Bodega des Port, directly opposite the harbour, and let ourselves be spoilt with culinary delights.

Cast off
After a leisurely breakfast on Sunday and the ship and safety briefing, we cast off. We set sail and everyone can get to know the boat and feel how she handles on the helm. In the evening we look for a beautiful bay to anchor in. We jump into the water and swim a few laps around the boat before preparing something tasty in the galley. Whether we round the island to the west or east depends on the wind.

"Right round or left round" — that is the question
On the east side, numerous bays beckon, along with a host of pretty little towns such as Porto Cristo, Porto Colom, Porto Pedro and the rustic Cala Figuera. In the south we round Capo Salinas with its dream-like water colour before dropping anchor off the famous Es Trenc bathing beach. The fjord-like Cala Pi promises an exciting manoeuvre where we secure with a stern line ashore.
No less exciting is the west side, which impresses with its breathtaking cliffs. Invisible from afar, the bay of Port de Soller suddenly opens up in the middle of the rock face. We take the historic tram through orange and lemon groves up to the town, which sits beautifully in a valley basin. The Cala de sa Calobra, the anchorage at Sant Elm and Port de Andraitx are just a few more highlights on this route.

We sail from Mallorca to Ibiza
Then we start our long passage to Ibiza. We set sail early in the morning; a good 60 nautical miles to the neighbouring island are on the programme. Above us the sky, the bow wave rushing, and with a bit of luck we catch a small tuna.

Ibiza and Formentera
Days follow in beautiful bays between Ibiza and Formentera, "the Caribbean of the Mediterranean". Beaches with turquoise-blue water invite swimming and snorkelling; in short passages we explore both neighbouring islands and find sheltered bays in the evening to prepare something delicious in the galley. The days pass all too quickly and we head for our marina Santa Eulalia or one of the other lovely marinas on Ibiza. We round off our wonderful Mallorca Ibiza sailing trip with a fine dinner.
