SAILING AREA
The Dalmatian coast, with its numerous bays, charming villages with Mediterranean flair and breathtaking natural spectacles, is one of the most popular sailing areas in the Mediterranean. Combined with its relatively low prices and moderate winds, it is ideal for families.

From Seget Donji, you set off towards the islands of Central Dalmatia.

Brač is the third-largest island in the Adriatic and is particularly famous for its unusually shaped beach "Zlatni Rat", which constantly changes depending on the wind and waves. Whilst Croatia is predominantly characterised by pebble beaches, here you'll find wonderful, fine sandy beaches that invite you to sunbathe to your heart's content.

The island of Hvar is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful islands in the Mediterranean. Even though it is increasingly popular with party-goers, away from the party scene you'll find many quiet and beautiful spots. There are some lovely beaches and coves, small villages with mediaeval charm and typical Croatian "konobas", where you can enjoy the delights of Croatian cuisine in a rustic atmosphere. Lavender and rosemary are cultivated on the island, which together with the pine forests creates a colourful landscape and an unparalleled sensory experience.
The old town, with its picturesque alleyways, unique buildings, hidden restaurants and the Cathedral of St Stephen, invites you to stroll and linger, and is a beautiful sight, especially in the evening hours.

From here you can head for other islands such as Vis and Korčula, or stay close to the mainland coast, where numerous coves and beautiful towns such as Trogir await you, with its unique blend of Renaissance, Baroque and Romanesque buildings. The famous Krka waterfalls in the national park of the same name are another highlight in this sailing area.

Dalmatia offers numerous marinas. ACI marinas usually provide every comfort such as showers, provisions and quiet berths, but they are also the most expensive overnight option in Croatia. If you want to save money, stock up on all your supplies at the ACI marinas and then disappear for two days "into the wilderness" before heading to the next marina. The countless coves make this possible.

The sailing weather in Croatia is wonderful. With warm summers and the thermal winds that mostly come from the north-west during this season, you have fantastic sailing conditions here. Since there is hardly any strong wind in summer, this sailing area is particularly well suited for families.

LIFE ON BOARD
At the beginning of the trip, the ship's kitty is set up, from which all running trip expenses are paid during the voyage. Together you then allocate the cabins and send a few crew members shopping. Once everyone is back on board, you first discuss your sailing experience and your ideas regarding the route and trip itinerary: which highlights do you absolutely want to see? Would you prefer to overnight in coves or in harbours and marinas? The skipper will clarify these and many other questions with you, and together you'll work out a rough route. In doing so, he always keeps an eye on wind and weather, but also on organisational aspects. Since wind and weather at sea can change constantly, you'll adjust the trip itinerary once or twice during the sailing week.
On Sundays, after a leisurely breakfast and once the yacht and safety briefing has been completed, you can set sail and finally get under way.

You're all in the same boat together and participate in life on board. Mutual consideration and willingness to compromise are therefore important. In this way, families who don't know each other quickly become a unified crew, in which everyone is responsible for the vessel and their fellow crew members.

The skipper actively involves all crew members in sailing, whether you're an old sea dog or an absolute sailing novice. He shows you everything you want to know about it. Even the youngest crew members are involved and always beam with pride when they're allowed to hold the helm themselves. Whilst you may carry out sailing manoeuvres tentatively at first, by the end everyone knows exactly what they need to do and you can see that a well-oiled team is at work here.
