Sailing in the dream destination Caribbean 4 cabins 4 bathrooms

We sail with a maximum of 6 guests. Each of the 4 cabins has its own bathroom.

The trip begins in Le Marin, which is perfect as a departure port thanks to its infrastructure and charm. After provisioning at the nearby French supermarket, we enjoy our first Caribbean evening with a lovely meal at a typical restaurant by the harbour.

Cast off for St Lucia
After a hearty breakfast and safety briefing, we cast off the lines and things get exciting straight away. With full concentration we follow the channel markers that lead us through several reefs out onto the open sea. Then the sails are set and our first leg takes us directly to St Lucia. Now we experience what Caribbean sailing really means. The long Atlantic swell that has built up over hundreds of miles and the steady easterly wind let us glide through the water on a beam reach. Our destination is the legendary Rodney Bay, where we drop anchor in the evening. After a refreshing swim we conjure up something delicious in the galley. Next door is the famous marina where, in December and early January, the final stragglers of the ARC make landfall. The Atlantic Rally for Cruisers.

Onwards to St Vincent
We continue to St Vincent. This island, almost untouched by tourism, offers magnificent volcanic landscape against dense rainforest. Here our yacht anchors in Cumberland Bay, where local youngsters help us secure the shore line to a palm tree. Fruit and jewellery vendors visit us in their boats, offer services and bring fresh bread the next morning.

Into the Grenadines
Next destination is Bequia — pure Caribbean. The friendliness of the people and a Planter's Punch at the legendary Frangipani Bar help us leave everyday life behind completely. The following days are marked by glorious sailing in force 4–5, bays with turquoise water and white sandy beaches with palm trees. The Tobago Cays with their spectacular Horseshoe Reef, the little-known Petit St Vincent with its magnificent beaches, or Palm Island and Mustique with its famous Basil's Bar are just some of the highlights where we drop anchor. Snorkelling enthusiasts will find an absolute paradise here!

Back to Martinique
Once we can tear ourselves away from Bequia, we set course back to Martinique. Of course we make sure to call at the famous Wallilabou Bay. This is where large parts of the Hollywood blockbuster 'Pirates of the Caribbean' were filmed. In St Lucia we head for Soufrière Bay, with its famous Piton peaks, the island's landmark. The renowned Marigot Bay is naturally not to be missed either. It was the setting for films such as Dr Dolittle and is probably one of the most beautiful anchorages in the Caribbean.
