The island of Madeira is a jewel in the North Atlantic which captivates not only through its mild and pleasant temperatures. Imposing and fascinating natural experiences make the trip along Madeira's coastline varied and exciting before we set our course for the Canary Islands.
The Canary Island archipelago is praised as 'tropical Spain'. In Germany's cold and rainy November weather, they offer the vision of eternal spring, of blue skies, the hot yellow of the sun, endless sandy beaches, palm trees and pleasant temperatures.
Each of the seven Canary Islands has its own charm; on our voyage we focus on the island of La Palma. In clear weather we can see from a great distance the peak of Pico de Teide volcano on Tenerife, which at 3,717 m is Spain's highest mountain. The summit is often covered with snow, although it lies only 300 nm outside the tropics.

We sail with Lotte, a Bavaria C51 from 2017. Lotte is a special vessel and is constructed without restrictions for ocean use and certified by the Berufsgenossenschaft. She sovereignly takes even high waves and delights with excellent seakeeping. Comfort and dynamics have been uncompromisingly combined, so that a cosy camaraderie on board and an intensive sailing experience await us.
