THE SAILING AREA
The Saronic Gulf comprises an area whose boundaries are marked by three prominent points: the Corinth Canal in the northwest, Cape Sounion in the east and the island of Hydra in the south.
The Peloponnese and its sailing area extend from the capital Athens in a south-westerly direction. On the Peloponnese, Greek history not only comes alive, but our holiday wishes are also fulfilled. Sailors will find azure-blue seas and tranquil anchorages here. Sun-hungry crew members get sunshine "en masse", bathing enthusiasts idyllic sandy beaches and bays, and romantics unique sunsets. Your daily sailing adventure is rounded off by the most delicious dishes of Greek cuisine accompanied by wines from the region.

Departure and destination harbour for your sailing trip is Marina Alimos or Nea Peramos/Attica, Athens.
From here we either sail along the coast in a westerly direction, where the former "gateway to the west", the Corinth Canal, awaits us, or we dive into the legendary island world of the Saronic Gulf. Via the islands of Aegina, Poros, Spetses and also Hydra, which "winds" picturesquely in the sea, we sail in relaxed daily stages along the Peloponnese. A diverse and breathtaking landscape awaits us, leaving many impressions.

Alongside high mountain ranges that plunge as steep cliffs into the blue sea, fertile valleys and tree-rich plateaux, we also enjoy picturesque fishing villages with long white sandy beaches on our sailing trips. Here, far from the hustle and bustle, we can happily spend the night at anchor beneath a vast canopy of stars or enjoy a delicious meal and the unique atmosphere in a taverna right by the sea.

With a bit of luck, dolphins or porpoises join the yacht in stages to play with the bow wave and regard us curiously.

The Saronic Gulf and the Peloponnese are known for moderate winds from southerly directions.

In July and August the Meltemi from the north can reach the sailing area in weakened form. The wind then reaches about 4–5 Bft here.

LIFE ON BOARD
You'll meet your crew and skipper in one of the busiest marinas in the Mediterranean. After setting up the ship's kitty, which covers things like the service pack and all running costs, and stocking up on provisions, a Greek dinner provides the perfect opportunity to get to know each other.

On this trip you have the opportunity – true to our concept: Cabin Charter – Hands-on Sailing – Shared Experience – to learn your first steps as a sailing novice or to expand your knowledge as an experienced sailor. The heavy shipping traffic in the first miles off Athens makes for an interesting passage before the trip unfolds along the coast into calmer waters.

The generally good wind conditions allow for flexible itinerary planning, where culture, bathing in sun and sea, and culinary explorations are all easily combined. Besides anchoring in secluded bays, numerous small jetties can also be linked together for an individual sailing experience.
