Harbour manoeuvres, rescue manoeuvres and sail training with examination(s) are the focus of this trip.

We enjoy harbour viewing!! Because it all runs really smoothly in harbour!!!

That's exactly what we want to work on and practise together with you, so that in future you have a good selection of harbour manoeuvres at your disposal that you master confidently and can apply just as calmly:

- Handling characteristics of vessels in forward and reverse
- Flow and propeller effect
- Function of lines and springs when coming alongside and casting off
- Lines and springs when making fast overnight
- Correct handling of lines and springs
- Preparation and briefing before entering harbour
- Coming alongside and casting off, alongside and stern-to with mooring
- Recognising and using wind effects
-Special manoeuvres for moderate and strong winds
-Planning special manoeuvres for different situations yourself
-Anchoring manoeuvres

We will train you (maximum 4 crew on board) in the most important harbour manoeuvres for mooring and casting off in various wind strengths and directions and different situations. You will learn to assess the situation in the harbour correctly before the mooring manoeuvre and to plan and execute your successful strategy.

Harbour manoeuvres demand a high degree of concentration and performance from the crew. Therefore we limit harbour manoeuvres to a few hours per day, so that each crew member has enough time to practise. And then we turn our attention to other important aspects of safe boat handling, e.g. rescue and sailing manoeuvres.
Within this framework we are happy to prepare you for the exam(s) for SBF See, SKS and VDS.

So a comprehensive and very instructive programme from which you can take away a great deal of sailing knowledge. And if you wish, you can sit your exam for a sailing certificate on the last day of the trip.
