This leg is classic ocean sailing.
Around 800 nautical miles, about seven days at sea. No island hopping, no stopovers. We leave the Canaries astern and sail south.
The rhythm sets in quickly. Watches, holding course, observing weather, making decisions. The boat runs, the trade winds build, daily life shifts entirely aboard. Those who wish can be part of it.

Sailing takes centre stage. Navigation, weather assessment, watch systems and handling the boat on a long passage are explained and put into practice together. This isn't about formal training, but about understanding what happens when you're offshore for several days.

Jan has sailed this route for years. Experience is shared aboard, in practice, in conversation, in everyday life at sea. Responsibility grows step by step, depending on how much someone wants to take on.
The days are clearly structured, the nights long. Time loses its usual meaning. It's about course, wind, boat and crew. About what lies between. That's precisely what this trip is about.
