SNOW AND SAIL 1 – Bodø to Svolvær – PO-02-04-2027-R

Experience the high north of Norway in its most spectacular form: this special voyage combines relaxed sailing with winter flair in one of the most impressive landscapes in Europe. From Bodø we set sail and follow the rugged coast northwards, past deep fjords, craggy mountains and small harbours. After crossing the Vestfjord we reach the imposing Lofoten wall. From here we make further trips through enchanted valleys and narrow sounds to our destination in Svolvær. A voyage for everyone seeking sailing, magical winter landscapes and real adventure off the beaten track.

Expected trip itinerary:

We sail with POLARIS from Bodø and, depending on the weather, initially northwards along the Norwegian mainland coast before crossing the Vestfjord in a long passage over to the Lofoten Islands. After various stops in picturesque harbours or cosy anchorages, we reach our destination of Svolvær. From here you can comfortably travel home by air or ferry via Bodø or Tromsø. Depending on weather and schedule, it may be necessary to cover longer sections of the voyage under engine. Total distance: approx. 150 nautical miles.
