From BREST in West Brittany, Michel sails his sporty yet comfortable offshore catamaran LA FRANCOISE on coastal trips to the offshore islands of Ouessant, Sein and Molène. With suitable winds also south to the Glénan Islands and further to Belle-Île or into the Golfe Du Morbihan. The dates, trip duration and sailing profile can be arranged individually "à la carte". We are a German-French skipper community and sail adventure and training trips in the tidal waters of North, West and South Brittany. Possible destinations depending on departure harbour are in the north the English Channel Islands Jersey, Guernsey, Alderney, Sark; in the west the islands of Ouessant, Sein and Molène; and in the south the Îles de Glénan, Groix, Belle-Île and Île d'Yeu between the harbours of Saint-Malo, Brest, Concarneau, Lorient, Le Crouesty and La Rochelle. We offer active sailing with plenty of hands-on involvement in navigation and seamanship, but also on request simply relaxed holiday trips without mile-building pressure. Our skippers are all highly experienced, competent, reliable and pleasant captains who can do more than just sail and speak German, English and French. All are non-smokers!
Specifically from BREST, Michel, former senior officer of the French Marine Nationale, sails his LA FRANCOISE – proven over many years on long ocean voyages – to the offshore islands of Ouessant, Sein and Molène, or south to the popular GLÉNAN Islands. Trip profile and itinerary entirely according to your wishes. We always sail in a small crew, gladly with just 2 participants, only on request 3 to max 4 people in the crew.
Michel, the owner and skipper of the yacht, is a native Breton from Cancale near Saint-Malo, has been sailing since childhood and has numerous ocean voyages in his wake. Besides French he also speaks fluent English and is a good and keen cook. On many trips he is accompanied by his highly esteemed wife Marianne.
