Lisbon–Brest (Camaret-sur-mer), 790 nm: Skipper training–Long distance–Ocean miles! L04

Long-distance training and skipper trip with 670 ocean miles for all sailors who would like to experience a long passage and expand their experience. And for crew members preparing for and/or collecting miles for the Swiss Hochseeausweis as well as for SKS, SSS, SHS, FB2 to FB4.

- Several night passages and night harbour approaches, depending on wind and weather
- Harbour, rescue, anchoring and mooring manoeuvres and all important sailing manoeuvres
- Logbook keeping with original CCS (Cruising Club de Suisse) logbook/Livre du Bord
- Comprehensive navigation with watch planning and passage planning
- Personal suitability of skippers with extensive offshore experience
- Language on board German and (quite good) French

On this trip you can prepare very well for the German, Austrian and Swiss sailing licences and build important miles.

Our sailing yacht "Maria José M.R." is equipped with all relevant systems for your safety and training, such as RADAR, AIS, GPS, EPIRB, SART, liferaft, lifejackets etc.

These mile-building trips are particularly exciting for all sailors who want to expand their knowledge and gain many new experiences and even more nautical miles, as we'll be sailing and navigating both in coastal waters and on the high seas and getting to know very different sailing areas and weather conditions. The crew will be involved in all activities on board that are typical for long voyages and we expect your active participation in daily life on board.

Together we'll carry out trip planning taking wind and weather as well as navigational requirements into account, draw up a watch schedule, experience night passages under the stars and often sail in open sea areas far from the coast and anchor in bays.

Conclusion: This trip combines demanding offshore sailing with Mediterranean island-hopping, cultural highlights and varied navigation.

We undertake our offshore and mile-building trips with up to 5 crew members (plus skipper) on board in order to fulfil the watch rotas.
