Ascension Weekend sailing Baltic Sea – aboard the classic sailing yacht Quadra

Would you like to try out whether a sailing holiday is right for you, or do you simply want a little break from everyday life? Then book a sailing weekend on the Baltic Sea aboard the Quadra. The Baltic Sea is a safe sailing area with relatively short passages and thus ideal for both experienced sailors and travellers with no prior knowledge. With its varied sandy beaches, steep coastlines, picturesque harbours and tranquil islands, the landscape offers a perfect blend of nature, culture and relaxation.

You will board the Quadra in the harbour of the Baltic resort of Laboe on the Kiel Fjord. The boat is moored a few minutes' walk from the beach, near several terraces and small shops.
After dinner you can go for a walk or make yourself comfortable on board and get to know your fellow travellers.

After a leisurely breakfast the next morning, it's time to cast off! The crew explains how we set the sails together and is on hand with help and advice for all procedures on board. Depending on wind and weather, we set course towards a German harbour or a Danish island. Possible destinations include a visit to Kappeln, a town with maritime flair on the Schlei. Or a Danish harbour such as Bagenkop, Marstal or Sønderborg. The old fishing village of Bagenkop on Langeland is very well suited for gentle walks through nature. Marstal, the largest town on the island of Ærø, idyllic and typically Danish, invites leisurely strolling. The maritime museum there is also worth a visit. Sønderborg on the island of Als also has much to offer: a centuries-old castle, a small shopping mile and a beach nearby. The next day we either sail back to Laboe or discover further places of interest if you have booked a long weekend.

During our trips, alongside the sailing activities, there is plenty of time for relaxing, reading, swimming, chatting and exploring ashore.
Being out in the fresh air all day invariably creates a healthy appetite. That's why our ship's cook spoils us daily with a hearty breakfast as well as a balanced lunch and delicious dinner.
You will be accommodated in a double cabin. Bed linen and towels are provided.
