Aboard the 19-metre classic sailing yacht, you will become part of the regatta crew for several days. Together we train, prepare the vessel for the races and then go up against other classic yachts.
You will experience first-hand what makes a classic yacht regatta so captivating: the tension before the start, large yachts in close quarters, sail manoeuvres under time pressure, tactical decisions and finally the chase to the finish line.
Depending on your experience, you will take on tasks within the crew, help with the manoeuvres, handle sheets, trim sails or take the helm at times. Regatta experience is not required. Our skippers and crew will brief you and prepare you for your tasks.
One of the great stages of the classic sailing scene
This regatta is far more than a series of races. It is one of the outstanding events for classic yachts in the Mediterranean and combines demanding competitive sailing with the special atmosphere of Palma.
Regatta life in the harbour begins in the morning. Crews meet for breakfast, the yachts are prepared and on the pontoons there is talk of weather, wind and the races ahead.
Then the classic yachts head out together.
A few hours later you find yourself with the yacht right in the middle of the regatta fleet — surrounded by some of the most beautiful classic sailing yachts in the Mediterranean.
Regatta ashore – almost as important as on the water
What makes this event special is the excellent organisation around the races.
The official programme combines the sport on the water with an extensive social programme ashore. Shared breakfast buffets, receptions and several evening events bring the crews together. In addition there is live music and convivial evenings where participants from different countries celebrate together and relive the day's races.
This creates precisely the atmosphere that characterises the great classic yacht regattas in the Mediterranean: sporting competition on the water and shared Mediterranean regatta life ashore.

Monday, 9 August - Check-in from 5pm, briefing
Tuesday, 10 August - Breakfast, sail training, regatta opening event in the evening
Wednesday, 11 August - Regatta breakfast buffet, sponsors' race, regatta reception with drinks
Thursday, 12 August - Regatta breakfast buffet, regatta race, followed by regatta reception
Friday, 13 August - Regatta breakfast buffet, regatta race, followed by regatta reception with live music
Saturday, 14 August - Regatta breakfast, regatta race, prize-giving and closing event in the evening with various activities
Sunday, 15 August - Check-out by 11am
