Skipper Training – Sailing Instruction – Yacht Sailing

Our skipper training is the ideal preparation for licence holders who have little practical experience or who would like to refresh their existing knowledge.

Without any exam stress, we show the fundamental sailing manoeuvres over this weekend with a large seagoing yacht: points of sail, berthing and unberthing under power, the most important terminology, as well as harbour manoeuvres in confined spaces with varying wind conditions, anchoring, navigation, passage planning, interpreting weather forecasts, operating VHF radio, GPS and autopilot, seamanship, etc.
Concentrated and intensive training imparts the necessary confidence for handling the most varied situations on the water. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor and with a maximum of 5 participants, you will get to know everyday life aboard a yacht in this way.

During the day we sail and practise on the Baltic Sea, and in the evening we head either to our home harbour in Wismar or a nearby harbour such as Boltenhagen. Accommodation on board is in yacht-standard double cabins.

Arrival the day before after 18:00 is possible by arrangement for a surcharge of €30 per berth.

The onboard kitty covers provisions, harbour fees and fuel. Catering is self-organised. The skipper is exempt from the kitty and is catered for by the crew.
