Skipper Training – Sailing Instruction – Yacht Sailing

Our skipper training is the ideal preparation for licence holders who have little practical experience or who would like to refresh their existing knowledge.

Entirely without exam stress, we will demonstrate over this extended weekend from Friday to Sunday the fundamental sailing manoeuvres with a large seagoing yacht, the points of sail, mooring and casting off under engine, the most important technical terms, as well as harbour manoeuvres in confined spaces with varying wind conditions, anchoring, navigation, passage planning, evaluating weather reports, using radio, GPS and autopilot, seamanship, etc.
Concentrated and intensive training imparts the necessary confidence for handling the most varied situations on the water. Under the guidance of an experienced instructor and with a maximum of 5 participants, you will get to know everyday life aboard a yacht in this way.

During the day we sail and practise on the Baltic, and in the evening we will make for either our home port of Rostock or a surrounding harbour such as Kühlungsborn or Hohe Düne. Accommodation is in yacht-standard double cabins.

Arrival the day before after 18:00 is possible by arrangement for a surcharge of €30 per berth.

The onboard kitty covers provisions, harbour fees and fuel. Catering is self-organised. The skipper is exempt from the kitty and is catered for by the crew.
