From Martinique you sail southwards. Via St Lucia, St Vincent, Bequia, Mustique the trip leads to the Grenadines with the stunningly beautiful Tobago Cays

THE SAILING AREA
From the departure/destination harbour Le Marin in the south of Martinique you sail the southern route to the Grenadines and back. Via St Lucia and St Vincent – longer stays there are usually planned on the return leg – you reach the Grenadines.
The Tobago Cays, a group of five uninhabited islets, is one of the highlights of this sailing trip. Protected by the offshore Horse Shoe Reef, you can anchor in the lagoon and explore the fascinating underwater world.

On Union Island things get livelier. Perhaps over a buffet, music and dancing you'll get insights into the exuberant leisure culture of the locals. Quieter and ideal for extended chilling is Mayreau. The only road connects the village of Old Wall with the dream beaches Saline Bay and Salt Whistle Bay.
Behind every island lie sheltered anchorage bays for a peaceful night. Rustling palms, the clear turquoise water and fine sandy bathing beaches invite you to linger.
You anchor off an uninhabited island with lush rainforest, bathe on white palm-fringed beaches and snorkel in a fantastic underwater world: the multitude of islands, 125 in the Grenadines alone, are an experience.

High-end tourism characterises Mustique; mass tourism has no chance on this island. The blues sessions at Basil's Bar at sunset are legendary and best enjoyed with a 'Spicy Margarita' or 'Basil's Rum Runner'. The island of Bequia, just a few nautical miles away, presents a completely different picture. A long seafaring tradition and whaling have left a great cosmopolitanism at this present-day round-the-world sailors' meeting point.

St Vincent, along with St Lucia and Martinique, is one of the large islands of the Windward Islands. Wallilabou Bay served as the set for Port Royal in Pirates of the Caribbean. An excursion to the 1,219-metre-high volcano La Soufrière, whose slopes are covered with dense rainforest, is just as worthwhile as a tour to the Dark View waterfall.
St Lucia, the 'jewel of the Antilles', is famous for its steeply rising mountain peaks, the Pitons. In Marigot Bay off St Lucia one of many film locations awaits you. There's plenty of time for a visit to the rainforest and the Diamond waterfall in the south of the island. On a final stop at Rodney Bay – in the north of St Lucia – you can visit the imposing fortifications. After a passage of about 20 nautical miles it's time to say goodbye in Martinique.

Temperatures in the Caribbean are very constant and pleasant. During the day it averages 28°C and even at night the temperature doesn't fall below 21°C. The water temperature is also a pleasant 25–27°C in the winter months.
The north-east trade wind, at 4–6 Beaufort, is a steady engine for our sailing trips and makes the warm weather feel pleasant.

LIFE ON BOARD
This active and sporty sailing trip is equally suitable for experienced sailors and novices. The skipper will show you how to handle the catamaran, so that you'll soon be holding the helm yourself and actively involved in sailing the boat.
On this sailing trip you'll sail approximately 250–300 nautical miles. At the end of the trip you'll receive a mileage confirmation on request.
Route planning is flexible; together with the skipper the daily legs are planned taking into account the interests of all crew members, wind, weather and organisational aspects. At the start of the trip the boat kitty is set up for all running trip ancillary costs as well as basic provisions on board.

Own transfer from the airport to the harbour at Le Marin in the south of the island (approx. 33 km).
