Lovely little ship

I was very happy with the boat and the route :). The Ovni is well maintained and lovingly equipped (even with a stove). I personally think Scandinavia is often underestimated in terms of scenery.
The skipper and crew were also very pleasant as people.

Weekend trip Rügen – a super, wonderful sailing experience!

I had the pleasure of spending an extended sailing weekend from 7.10. to 9.10. aboard the Sir Rudolf with skipper Alex (Alexander Kurtenbach) and two other guests, and to cut straight to the chase, it was simply a brilliant trip and a great experience in every respect!! We set off on Friday afternoon in Greifswald in perfect sailing weather and initially sailed to Lauterbach on Rügen, where we spent the night in the yacht harbour there. In the evening we cooked together and had a lovely sociable evening! The next day, after a hearty breakfast, we sailed around the island of Vilm towards the Baltic Sea and anchored in the immediate vicinity of the island and had lunch. During our meal we were even curiously eyed by a few seals:-) After we'd weighed anchor, the previously good weather suddenly turned and we had heavy rain and strong gusts of wind for half an hour. Fortunately we didn't get caught in the thunderstorm which we could observe a few kilometres away. Afterwards we headed back towards Rügen and spent the night here in the small, charming harbour of Gager. Again we cooked together and rounded off the evening with a tasty beer / "berth beer". The next morning we headed back towards Greifswald. The sun was shining, initially we still had good sailing weather at wind force 3, until the wind gradually died away and unfortunately we had to cover the last few nautical miles under engine. Around 15:00 we were back in the yacht harbour of Greifswald, sat together and looked back on the wonderful three days, before setting off for home around 16:00! …For me it was my first Baltic trip and also on such a sailing yacht. The "Sir Rudolf" is a brilliant vessel, excellently equipped, very well maintained and spacious. Alex is a brilliant skipper; at all times he answered our/my many questions about the boat, about sailing (theory and practice), about the places, etc. thoroughly. At every moment I felt absolutely safe, even when the strong gusts of wind, sometimes force 7, swept over us:-)!...I'm already looking forward to the next trip with Alex :-)!...Matthias
